About UK & Ireland 2028 Limited

UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland.

We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to plan and deliver the tournament safely, inclusively and to world-class standards.

About UEFA EURO 2028

UEFA EURO is one of the world’s largest sporting events. In 2028, it will be hosted across multiple cities in the UK & Ireland, requiring large-scale coordination across transport, infrastructure, stadiums and public ser-vices.

UEFA owns the tournament and sets requirements; UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is responsible for delivering it locally.

The Role

The EURO 2028 volunteer programme will have a digital focus throughout the end-to end volunteer journey. This is a unique opportunity to define how technology enables the recruitment, engagement and experience of 13,000 volunteers across eight Host Cities and four Nations.

As Volunteer Systems Manager, you will play a central role in bringing this vision to life by designing and delivering the systems that sit at the heart of the programme. You’ll shape how the volunteer management system and mobile application are used, creating simple, effective and scalable solutions that work for both volunteers and delivery teams.

What you’ll be doing

• Leads on the configuration and ongoing management of the volunteer management system (Rosterfy), ensuring it is set up to support all stages of the volunteer journey.
• Works closely with the Volunteer Management team to understand their needs and translate them into clear, effective system processes and workflows.
• Ensures the system setup balances event requirements with platform capabilities, making best use of available functionality.
• Identifies and implements solutions to improve efficiency, reduce manual work and enhance the over-all volunteer experience.
• Supports integration with other event systems, working with ICT and external providers to ensure smooth data flow and compatibility.
• Provides clear guidance and support to the Volunteer Management team, helping them use the system effectively and confidently.
• Ensure data is managed accurately and securely across the volunteer lifecycle.
• Develop and deliver training, guidelines, webinars and onboarding sessions to ensure volunteer teams are confident using ICT systems.
• Ensure that all ICT milestones defined by the Volunteer Management team are monitored and delivered on time.

What we’re looking for

Essential experience and skills:
• Strong understanding of how to use and configure digital systems to support large-scale programmes or operations.
• Confident working with digital platforms and systems, with the ability to take ownership and drive im-provements.
• Experience of establishing trusted relationships at all levels.

Please see the full role profile for further detail.

How you’ll succeed
• Adaptable – leads in complex environments.
• Catalyst – enables and motivates others.
• Critical Thinker – makes sound decisions.
• Inclusion – creates inclusive team environments.
• Performance Focus – drives results and standards.
• Positive Impact – shows resilience and solutions focus.
• Pride – sets and upholds standards.
• Relationship Manager – builds trusted partnerships.

These strengths may be assessed during application, assessment and interview.

Why apply?

We offer a competitive salary and benefits (including 25 days holiday, pension and private medical insur-ance), alongside the opportunity to be part of a landmark international sporting event.

Location & Working Pattern

Based at Wembley Stadium, with travel across the UK & Ireland as required.

• 2026: 3 days/week onsite
• 2027: 3–4 days/week onsite
• 2028: Full-time onsite during tournament delivery

Application Process

Our process is designed to be clear and fair:

1. Application review.
2. Online assessment (role dependent).
3. Interview(s) – typically first stage via MS Teams and final stage in Wembley Stadium.
4. Offer.

We aim to keep candidates informed throughout.

Everyone is welcome

We’re hiring for excellence through inclusion
