Our Directors Team

Our Directors Team work closely with the Chair and Board to create, set and oversee UK Sport’s organisational strategy. Together, they lead UK Sport on its mission to create the greatest decade of extraordinary sporting moments.

Sally Munday, Chief Executive

Sally has spent her entire career working in sport and joined UK Sport as CEO in September 2019.

Simon Morton, Deputy CEO and Director, Sporting System and Events

Simon Morton joined UK Sport in 2005, and now leads the Sporting System and Events department alongside his role as Deputy CEO.

Kate Baker joined UK Sport as the Director of Performance in May 2021, having previously served as Head of Performance Pathways.

Naomi joined UK Sport as the Director of Engagement and External Affairs in September 2019. Naomi joined us from international charity WWF, where she was Director of Partnerships.

Sophie is the strategic financial lead for UK Sport, responsible for the in-year and longer-term financial planning and monitoring.

Deborah joined UK Sport to lead the newly formed People department in October 2021, with responsibility for delivering a people agenda in support of UK Sport’s organisational strategy.
