Job Description
Do you live and breathe football? Are you passionate about storytelling, digital, content, creativity, and building engaged communities? The Junior Premier League is on the lookout for a full-time Social Media Coordinator to help lead our content and digital presence.

What is the JPL? It’s the most exciting new chapter in elite youth football, where young people can dream big and see those dreams take flight and now we’re looking for someone who can help tell that story to the world. Born from the ambition to provide a best-in-class football environment for some of the most talented boys and girls in countries across the world, the JPL has grown from England to the United States and Canada, and now runs competitions, leagues and events across the Middle East too. The JPL Warriors is our girls competition, and in England features top clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur, while the likes of PSG and Juventus are represented in our competitions across the Middle East. We’re proud to be a player-first league — with development, opportunity and identity at our core. Now we’re ready to grow our voice and digital presence across TikTok, Instagram, X and YouTube and we want you to be part of it.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing organisation at the heart of youth football. As a Social Media Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for planning, creating, and managing engaging content across all platforms — showcasing the talent, stories, and spirit of the JPL. We’re looking for someone who understands how to engage this community, how to speak to our players, parents and coaches in a way that chimes and challenges in equal measure.

📍 Location: Remote/hybrid (UK-based)
🕒 Contract: Full-time
💼 Salary: Commensurate with experience
🌍 Travel: Regular weekend matchday travel across the UK, plus international travel.

As Social Media Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for growing the JPL brand and building an authentic digital community. You’ll cover matchdays, spotlight players, celebrate coaches, and produce creative, compelling content that reflects the values and energy of the league.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Plan/execute content across TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube and more
-Attend weekend match-days and events to capture content
-Highlight players, clubs, and standout moments through video, interviews, graphics, and reels
-Build and manage a content calendar aligned with league fixtures, milestones and campaigns
-Collaborate with clubs, coaches, and internal teams to share authentic and inspiring stories
-Track social performance and adapt strategies based on insights and trends
-Stay ahead of the curve on digital innovations in youth sport and women’s football

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (required experience knowledge/skills)
-Enthusiastic, motivated – an outstanding team player
-Strong team ethic and collaborative nature – confident dealing with people.
-A natural communicator with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
-Excellent IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google Drive/Docs.
-Flexible working attitude and approach
-Experience managing social media channels for a brand, ideally in sport or youth sport
-Confident creating and editing short-form video, reels and behind-the-scenes content
-Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts and X
-Understanding of latest AI capabilities as it relates to content/social
-Creative, proactive and self-starting mindset
-Someone who is able to work independently and manage your time
-Excellent written and visual storytelling skills
-Passion for and knowledge of women’s and girls’ football football, youth development
-Bonus points for video editing and graphic design experience (CapCut, Adobe, Canva, etc.)
-Willingness to travel regularly across the UK and occasionally abroad
-Strong knowledge of the global and regional football landscape
-Digital marketing acumen, with an eye for the latest trends on platforms, content, campaigns

ABOUT THE JPL
The Junior Premier League (JPL) is one of the world’s most successful youth sports organisations. Each week, we bring together thousands of young people across the world for unrivalled sporting opportunities and fierce, but fair, competition. JPL was founded in England in 2011 and although the home of football will always be the birthplace of the Junior Premier League, it now operates in the USA, Canada, across the Middle East, and will be launching in Mexico and Australia in 2026. We know JPL players like to dream big dreams, and our work with the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona, Liverpool and Arsenal presents our young people with the chance to make those dreams take flight. Our girls league, JPL Warriors, is one of the fastest growing youth competitions in Europe and features the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur to name but a few.

JPL RECRUITMENT
The JPL is an equal opportunities employer and strives to create an inclusive culture where everyone thrives. We believe in the potential of everyone and open our doors to those who share our values. All appointments will be made based on merit. Our commitment to safeguarding includes implementing robust and safe recruitment procedures to assess the suitability of individuals applying for roles that involve work with children.
How to apply
Please send your CV, examples of your social content and a cover letter, explaining why you are interested in the position and what you can offer to the JPL, to Recruitment@JPLSports.com - applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and will close on June 20th, 2025.
