We are committed to growing participation at all levels, developing talent, and promoting the sport across the country from community clubs to the international stage.We are seeking a motivated and detail-driven Competitions, Leagues & Events Officer to lead and manage the delivery of our domestic competition calendar, support league structures, and organise national and regional events.This role is key in driving engagement, improving operational delivery, and supporting clubs, volunteers, and officials across Wales. You will also support our communications output, ensuring timely and engaging updates across digital platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, organise and deliver Table Tennis Wales national competitions and events (e.g., National Championships, Ranking Tournaments, Welsh Leagues)Provide support and guidance to local leagues and clubs, helping improve structures and participationWork with volunteers, officials, and regional coordinators to ensure consistent standards and efficient event deliveryManage event logistics including venue booking, registration, scheduling, and equipment coordinationOversee the administration of the online membership platform, ensuring accurate and up-to-date recordsAct as the first point of contact for public and member enquiries relating to competitions and eventsSupport the Head of Participation and the wider team with general administrative dutiesContribute content to the organisation’s website and social media channels to promote events, achievements, and club storiesPerson SpecificationEssential:Proven experience in organising sports competitions or eventsStrong administrative skills with excellent attention to detailConfident communicator with experience working with a variety of stakeholdersAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlinesExcellent IT skills, including experience with spreadsheets, databases, and online platformsStrong written communication skills and interest in digital content creationWillingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekendsDesirable:Knowledge of table tennis or experience working in a similar governing body or sports environmentExperience with membership management systems or competition softwareWelsh language skills (spoken or written)What We OfferA unique opportunity to shape the future of table tennis in WalesA flexible, hybrid working environmentSupportive and passionate team cultureOpportunities for professional development and learningThe chance to contribute to a sport with growing grassroots and elite participation How to apply To apply, please submit your CV and a covering letter outlining your suitability for the role.
