Job Description
Are you passionate about commercial growth, audience-driven marketing, and making a real impact through strategic campaigns?

We are Swim England, the national governing body for swimming, para swimming, diving, water polo and artistic swimming. We are on a mission to make aquatic activity accessible for all - from toddlers learning to float, to athletes chasing gold, to wild swimmers fighting for clean water.

Now, we are entering an exciting new chapter with a bold commercial strategy designed to drive sustainable growth and unlock new opportunities. We're looking for a commercially driven and strategically minded Marketing Manager to be a part of this journey - aligning our marketing efforts directly with revenue and business objectives.

You’ll be joining us at a pivotal time for growth, where your marketing expertise can truly support the future of Swim England’s commercial success. You’ll have the freedom to innovate, the support to deliver, and the platform to make a measurable impact across the sector.

You will be responsible for the proactive development and execution of innovative, insight-led marketing strategies that support the promotion of our growing portfolio of products and services, from our industry leading qualifications to our learn to swim programme and awards.

Working closely with the commercial team and wider B2B division, your efforts will directly contribute to awareness, lead generation, sales enablement, and long-term customer value.

What you will be doing

Develop and deliver B2B marketing strategies aligned with Swim England’s commercial goals and market needs.
Lead impactful, multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, sales and lead generation.
Plan and execute the full marketing mix — from content and collateral to advertising, PR and digital.
Lead on B2B PR and media, writing compelling stories and working closely with journalists to secure valuable coverage.
Build strong partnerships across the swimming, leisure and commercial sectors.
Collaborate with commercial and sales teams to support product launches and revenue growth.
Manage relationships with external agencies, providing briefs, setting KPIs, and ensuring results.
Create inspiring campaigns that reflect our brand values, support our ambassadors, and showcase Swim England’s impact.
Oversee and support team members through line management and project leadership.

Please see the attached job description for full details of the role and key responsibilities.

About You
A strategic mindset with proven experience delivering high-performing B2B marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
A passion for storytelling - particularly when it comes to the impact of swimming.
Strong stakeholder management skills and an analytical approach to marketing performance.
A natural collaborator with a proactive, flexible and solutions-focused approach.
You will be comfortable working across the whole marketing mix and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same.
A collaborative spirit and a hands-on attitude with a keen eye for brand consistency.
A confident communicator with a strong PR background, media know-how, and excellent copywriting skills.
A track record of driving lead generation and supporting commercial growth.
Great project management skills — juggling multiple deadlines with confidence and clarity.
A data-driven marketer — analysing performance, using insights to inform decisions, and delivering measurable ROI.
Experience working with external agencies, from briefing to delivery.
A positive team leader who’s supported and developed others through line management or project roles.
Competence with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and confident analysing campaign data to improve performance.
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Willingness to travel when required and support national events or meetings.
Please see the attached job description for full details.

If you feel you have the suitable skills and attributes for this position then we would love to read your application, detailing how you meet the brief, and how you believe you’re the right candidate for this opportunity. We would also like to hear about you, your interests and any experiences you have from activities outside of work.

The closing date for completed applications is Sunday 22nd June 2025 (midnight).

Shortlisting will take place on Wednesday 25th June with first stage interviews to be held on Tuesday 1st July and Wednesday 2nd July.
