Working alongside the Head Coach you will have the chance to deliver high energy dynamic training sessions that will be driven by our newfound DREAMS curriculum. At Nike Hockey Camps you’ll get the chance to coach with a purpose not only inspiring and developing young athletes but joining a part of our engaging, high-energy and supportive camp community.

Deliver high-quality coaching sessions following the DREAMS (Drive, Resilience, Empower, Adapt, Mentor, Success) curriculum to build a positive, supportive learning environment.
Support the Head Coach in planning and running structured, engaging sessions suitable for mixed ages and abilities.
Contribute to the wider camp experience, helping to create a world class environment that has a tangible, positive impact on players’ lives.
Be a role model, promoting professionalism, teamwork, respect and enthusiasm both on and off the pitch.
Ensure player safety and wellbeing, maintaining safeguarding standards and responding appropriately to any concerns.
Provide player feedback, including weekly evaluations that help athletes understand their progress and areas for growth.
Contribute to off-court activities, such as DREAMS workshops, team-building sessions, and house duties.
Work collaboratively with other coaches and staff, sharing insights, communicating clearly, and supporting smooth camp operations.
Maintain professionalism, reliability, and strong organisation throughout the camp program.

PERSON SPECIFICATION - HOCKEY COACH

We’re looking for enthusiastic, passionate and professional individuals to join our Nike Hockey team coaches who are committed to excellence and ready to make a lasting impact on young athletes. All staff will contribute to the overall smooth running of the camp as ultimately the safety of children is paramount. We’re looking for individuals who remain calm and professional in all situations, bringing a reassuring presence to the team. You’ll be confident in handling sensitive matters with care, always respecting confidentiality and data protection. With strong organisational skills and a positive attitude, you’ll be a role model for young people and help create a welcoming, team-focused environment.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

Can engage and inspire young players as they explore what it’s like to train like professional athletes.
Have experience playing tennis at a competitive or professional level.
Possess strong technical knowledge across all positions, with the ability to lead sessions on fundamental skills and their progression.
Are confident coaching players of all ages and abilities, adapting sessions through progression or regression as needed
