Contract type Permanent (Full time) Closing date 27 June 2025 Job Description British Dressage (BD) is the National Governing Body for the Olympic and Paralympic sport of dressage. We offer competition and training activity for riders at all levels, from grass roots to elite level. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as Finance Manager, based at our head office in Meriden, and working on a hybrid basis.This is a hands-on role, requiring the Finance Manager to be fully involved in day to day financial transactions, in conjunction with a small finance team. As a member of the senior management team, the Finance Manager manages all accounting and financial reporting to support the delivery of the organisation’s operational plans. This includes effective financial budgeting and forecasting, as well as responsibility for all accounting functions, including the purchase, sales and nominal ledgers, tax, payroll, pension, gift aid, credit control, cash flow, membership reconciliation and investments.The Finance Manager will provide timely and accurate financial information to the CEO, Finance Director and Board, while ensuring full compliance with all financial regulations and charitable obligations. This requires regular financial reporting to aid management decision making, including the provision of monthly management accounts, while implementing financial management and control systems to protect the organisation’s income streams, funds and assets.We are looking for a proactive, resilient and effective finance professional, who has a structured approach to work and excellent attention to detail. They will be highly organised, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise workload, and meet tight deadlines. An effective team player, they will be a motivated self-starter, who is equally adept at working independently. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to build strong professional relationships.The successful candidate will likely be an experienced accountant, with a minimum of three to five years in a similar sized SME managing a small team.
