1. The Department
The Club are continuing our rapid growth trajectory both on and off the pitch, further expanding our commercial footprint with the launch of a brand-new retail store in the heart of Birmingham’s iconic Bullring shopping centre which is scheduled to open in May 2025.

The store design will take inspiration from our rich 150-year history incorporating cultural touchpoints from Villa Park whilst integrating a museum section that celebrates the Club’s deep-rooted connection to both Birmingham and football history.

The store will span 10,000 square feet across a ground and mezzanine floor which will showcase our full retail offering including our kits, training wear and a significant adidas collection.

We are now looking to build our team for the new store who will be responsible for creating a best-in-class customer experience which is inclusive and welcoming for all.

2. The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Stockroom Manager who will form a fundamental part of the management team in our new store. You will play a vital role in our store’s retail success by overseeing inventory management, stock replenishment and product organisation whilst continuously reviewing and striving to enhance efficiency and driving our overall store performance.

Your responsibilities and accountabilities will include oversight and management of the stockroom ensuring high professional standards in line with safety guidelines and best practice, ensuring stock levels are sufficient and proactively ordering products. You will be responsible for ensuring that our inventory management and reporting is accurate and quality assured. You will work closely with other Departments across the store to ensure that stock is readily available and presented to the best possible standard for our customers.

3. The Person
You will need to have demonstrable experience in a similar stockroom manager role in a fast-paced retail environment with a strong understanding of retail operations, stock management and inventory control including the use of inventory systems.

Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and be able to work with a high level of accuracy to avoid discrepancies and supply issues will also be vital in this role. You will also need knowledge of best practices in stockroom management in line with health and safety regulations. We are looking for someone who can use their initiative who can meet challenges in a pragmatic and proactive way to make informed business decisions and generating innovative ideas to drive the Club forward.

You must also be available to work flexibly as the Club requires, this will include evenings and weekends.
