Netball Coach Organisation The University of Portsmouth (Sport and Recreation) Salary £20-£30/hour Location University of Portsmouth Contract type Permanent (Part time) Closing date 7 July 2025 Job Description Purpose of the RoleThe University of Portsmouth Netball Club comprises 4 teams who compete in the BUCS (British University & Colleges Sport) leagues. The 1st team will be in the South Eastern Tier 1 league for the 2025/26 season, the 2nd team in Tier 2, the 3rd team in Tier 3, and the 4th team in Tier 4. With the 3s recently promoted, the club requires a coach to lead on the training and fixtures of the 3rd and 4th team for the upcoming season. The successful candidate will be available to deliver regular training sessions from September - April, and attend fixtures when scheduled throughout the season. The teams train on Monday evenings from 8pm-10pm at Ravelin Sports Centre. Fixtures are scheduled for Wednesday afternoons (times & locations vary). Main Responsibilities- Collaborate with the student club committee and Head Coach to deliver trials at the start of the season- Lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation of weekly training sessions, focusing on technical and tactical elements specific to the 3s and 4s team- Select the match day squads, communicating with players and team captains- Attend fixtures and manage the match day squads- Attend club committee meetings where relevant- Promote the club’s philosophy to all members - Adhere to the University’s Code of ConductCriteria- Essential: England Netball Level 2 coaching qualification- Essential: Excellent organisation skills- Essential: Excellent communication skills- Desirable: An understanding of netball in the higher education sector How to apply Please complete this application form by the 7th July 2025 if you would like to apply: https://forms.gle/xwhXPGd8gN2uhz187 Share X LinkedIn Email
