UK Sport is delighted to see so many past and present members of the Olympic and Paralympic family, and high-performance sport community recognised in the 2022 Queen’s Jubilee Birthday Honours List.
The honours usually coincide with the Queen's birthday, but this year also marked the 70th anniversary of her reign and were announced on the eve of the Platinum Jubilee weekend, coming two weeks ahead of her official birthday.
Among those in receipt of awards were; Team Muirhead who brought home gold for Team GB in Curling at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, Georgie Harland, who was Chef de Mission for Team GB at those Games, Lora and Neil Fachie of the Great Britain Cycling Team, and a coach leader from UK Sport’s female coaches leadership programme cohort, Tracy Whittaker-Smith, Head National Coach, Trampoline, British Gymnastics.
