Women & Girls ACE Development Coach Organisation Warwickshire County Cricket Club Salary up to £23,100 Location Edgbaston Stadium, Birmingham Contract type Fixed Term (Full time) Closing date 5 May 2024 Job Description Job Purpose:The Women & Girls ACE Development Coach will be at the forefront of developing cricket opportunities for women and girls in the West Midlands. The Coach holds a significant opportunity to play a positive role in increasing the participation levels of cricket amongst this demographic. The primary responsibilities include acting as a brand ambassador for ACE and the Warwickshire Cricket Foundation (WCF), engaging with communities to enrich the lives of young people through cricket, and actively supporting player development within the Warwickshire pathway. This role requires a passionate individual with a strong desire to make a difference and a commitment to fostering inclusivity and growth within the cricketing community.Key Relationships:• ACE Development Officer• Head of Recreational Cricket and Operations• Women and Girls Community Manager• WCF Community OfficersRole Profile and Key Responsibilities: • Liaise with the WCF’s ACE Development Officer and Women & Girls’ Manager to design programmes to attract girls to play cricket• Deliver these programmes as Women and Girl’s coaching sessions in community settings• Coaching in schools and at the ACE Community Hubs• Play a full role in the planning & delivery of ACE Academy sessions and initiatives• Liaise with the Women and Girl’s Community Manager to assist in promotion of all female participation programmes• Build relationships with community partners • Identify, support and nurture talented players• Engage with County Age Group coaches, Performance Managers, Community Talent Champion and the Head of Talent Pathway to ensure the Girls’ ACE programme creates opportunities for young players into the Player Pathway including disability squads• Monitoring and evaluation, particularly through the Upshot systemPerson Specification:You will be passionate about developing girls’ cricket in community settings, identifying talent and widening access to cricket at all levels. As a team-player, you’ll exhibit excellent coaching, organisational and communication skills, as well as having meticulous attention to detail whilst seeing the bigger-picture.
