You will be required to work 15 weeks throughout the year, on average 3 hours per week at a rate of £20 per hour.This is an exciting opportunity working within the Water Polo Programme, with Swim England’s new 10-year strategy recently launched, which focuses on ensuring our aquatics environments promote an open and welcoming culture, with participant welfare at their heart.The Talent Centre Program is the beginning of the international player pathway focused on ages 12-16. There are Swim England Water Polo Talent Centres geographically placed across the UK, who train weekly or fortnightly in order to ensure that participating players who attend are given the fundamental skills to succeed as a future national team player.Reporting to the Swim England Water Polo Talent and Inclusion Officer, you will be responsible for leading a team of coaches in the delivery of the National Talent Centre programme, mentoring and developing future national team coaches, contributing to the evolution of the National Talent Centre Syllabus and nurturing players on the talent pathway.To find out more about the role, download the full Job Description and Person Specification document and view the video below.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iV52HZVAm1oIn order to be shortlisted for the next stage in the process you must demonstrate within your application how you meet the following criteria:EssentialUKCC Level 2 Coach Certificate or the older Level 2 Coaching Qualification.Experience and demonstrable success developing water polo playersExperience in successfully designing, delivering and evaluating athlete/coach performance programmesA strong ability to build relationships in a multi-stakeholder environmentExperience managing, mentoring and motivating coaches / other support staffStrong understanding of talent identification and development, from a technical perspectiveDesirableCoaching leadership experience within a national or international water polo programmeExperience implementing practical systems and interventionsInsight into or experience within, a national programme or equivalent experienceUnderstanding of budget managementA passionate attitude about open and fair talent identificationThe candidate must also be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check alongside relevant safeguarding training.
