Mens 1st team coach Organisation Team Bath Buccaneers Salary dependent on experience Location Bath with national travel Contract type (Part time) Closing date 31 July 2024 Job Description Team Bath Buccaneers Hockey Club is based at the University of Bath and plays in the Sports Training Village (STV) located in Claverton Down, Bath.Team Bath Buccaneers is one of the largest hockey clubs in the country. The STV boastsimpressive world-class sports facilities, with many gold medal Olympians training on-site. For hockey, we play on one water-based astro and a sand-dressed pitch on site.The club has 8 men's teams, 7 ladies' teams, and masters' teams, as well as a thriving junior section. We have long-term relationships with local schools in the area. We take pride in being a family-orientated, friendly club and would welcome candidates from all backgrounds.This squad play in the MNL South Div 1.. We have an arrayof experienced players and students who play for the University in the BUCS Premier League alongside some incredibly talented junior players from local schools and colleges. Our talent pool extends to U16, U18 Nags and GB EDP, supported by many highly experienced NL players. The primary target for the team is to retain our position in the league and push towards promotion in the next couple of years.Therefore, the successful candidate needs to be able to demonstrate high-level coaching in a performance environment.Pre-season starts in the first week of August. The Men’s 1st and 2nd team squads will train together at the STV on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and the successful candidate is expected to attend all training sessions and home and away fixtures on Sunday’s, with the occasional Saturday fixture.• Lead coach for men’s 1st team • Working closely with the Head Coach – hockey at the University of Bath • Overall responsibility for the selection of the M1 team performance squad• Working closely with M2 coaches to identify and promote potential players into the M1 squad. • Support the Performance Director with the recruitment, marketing and profile of the hockey performance programmes via our media partners.
