World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event. Ambitions for the tournament are at an all-time high as women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Women’s RWC 2025 will be the ultimate stage for the best players, teams and coaches from 16 nations across the globe and is set to be the biggest and most widely watched women's rugby event ever. As a key member of the Media Operations team, the Photo Manager is responsible for the management of photographers during media activities in match venues. Key Dates:This tournament time role starts with onboarding sessions in London between 13-15 August then the Venue Photo Managers will travel to a range of venues and matches. The schedule will include some set up days ahead of key fixtures. There will also be some non-working days in between the matches. What you’ll be doing:Manage photo operations within the venue on nominated days, including set up periods, stadium runs and match daysEnsure photo positions are set up and ready ahead of matchesImplement agreed photographer guidelines and policiesPrepare and deliver match day briefings to photographers and manage the assignment of photo positions using agreed World Rugby priority ordersSupport the World Rugby’s Match Media Officer with the management of official and team photographersProvide support and guidance to Venue Media Managers who are managing photographers in other venuesWork closely with Match Management and Broadcast on anything relating to pitch side photo positionsSubmit daily reports during operational periods and prepare a final report at the end of the tournament Experience & knowledge you’ll need:Previous experience in managing photographers at international sports eventsUnderstanding of the media landscape, particularly within women’s sportStrong leadershipGood technical knowledgeAbility and desire to provide a superior level of customer serviceExperience in dealing with international clients and stakeholdersExperience managing volunteer staffSound knowledge of wider media operations at sports events, including broadcastAll applicants must have a current and valid right to work in the UK Personal Attributes:A passion for sport and to contribute to the further growth of the women’s game.Role-models World Rugby’s values of Discipline, Respect, Integrity, Passion, and Solidarity.
