We are seeking a skilled, enthusiastic, self-motivated therapist who ideally has worked within professional sport and understands the challenges of this industry. This role involves working largely with the First Team, but will also include the U21s. The successful candidate would work within the Performance team based at state of the art The Robins High Performance Centre, liaising with other team members and reporting to the Head of Medical. Travel to other sites may be required at times. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES • Work within a multidisciplinary team• Providing soft tissue and manual therapy to squad pre/post training. • Providing soft tissue and manual therapy pre/post matches as required• Assist & deliver players’ rehabilitation/activation/recovery sessions• Attend 1st team fixtures when required and participate as part of the initial emergency care team for first aid• Accurately document player’s notes, injury data and programming• Assist (along with other therapist) in organising equipment needed for training and games• Provide organisational support to ensure the smooth running of the department and it’s needQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Essential Skills• BSc Sports Therapy/Rehabilitation• An understanding of professional football• Minimum 1 year experience within professional football or other professional sporting environment• Competent in Microsoft Desirable Skills • Alternative treatment modalities /skills• Experience in using GPS/Heart rate data• ITMMIF qualification (or willing to attend course) Personal Skills• Trustworthy, conscientious, and reliable • Ability to work calmly under pressure• Clear, polite, and professional manner when representing the Club• Ability to support decision making will clear medical underpinning• High level clinical skills • An empathetic and caring approach • High level interpersonal and communication skills • Good time management • Eager to progress and develop and learn new skills How to apply HOW TO APPLY Applications are to be sent by email to careers@bcfc.co.uk.
