CHAIR OF ATHLETES COMMISSION (Hybrid Position) Organisation UK Athletics Salary £9000.00 per annum honorarium fee Location Hybrid – Home plus ad hoc attendance at UKA HQ Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 28 September 2025 Job Description UK Athletics is seeking to appoint a Chair for the UKA Athletes Commission.BACKGROUNDThe UK Athletics Athletes Commission was established in order to ensure that there was an independent voice for international athletes and an opportunity for those athletes to share their views on important issues and topics across the sport. The commission is intended to bring these views to UK Athletics and ensure they are heard at the highest levels of the sport. By adopting a collaborative approach, we aspire to create a strong positive organisation that contributes to our sport in the UK, Europe, and globally at all times.OBJECTIVES OF THE COMMISSIONRaise and advise UKA on key issues affecting athletes and the sport.Provide feedback and guidance to the UKA Board and Performance Team.Promote and uphold the values of UK Athletics.PURPOSE OF ROLEIn line with the Terms of Reference (ToR) for the group, as the Chair, you will lead the Commission, liaise closely with the UKA leadership team, and represents athlete views to the UKA Board and UK Members.
