Job Description
This is a hands-on, high-impact role at the heart of the JPL’s continued growth in England. You will lead on the recruitment of new clubs, new teams and new players — working with ambition, creativity and persistence to grow the JPL in England. Equally important, you will oversee the day-to-day relationship management of our existing clubs, ensuring that they feel supported, heard, and involved in shaping the future of the league. This position is ideal for someone who understands youth football, enjoys meeting people, and takes real pride in representing an organisation with purpose. It’s a commercial role, but it is also a human one — built around communication, trust and long-term partnership building.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Growth & Recruitment
-Lead the recruitment of new clubs and teams into the JPL across England.
-Build a strong and well-managed pipeline of prospective clubs.
-Proactively identify growth opportunities within regions, counties, and player communities.
-Confidently present the JPL offer — whether that’s in person, online, or at events.
-Articulate clearly what sets the JPL apart, from our standards, player pathways and values.
-Ensure clubs are sold opportunities with JPL sports tours, tournaments and All-Star programme

2. Club Account Management
-Act as a key point of contact for clubs during the season.
-Maintain a consistent communication rhythm to ensure clubs always know what is happening.
-Seek feedback regularly — what clubs like, what they don’t, and where we can improve.
-Work with clubs to encourage maximum team participation each year.
-Support clubs with challenges, ensuring issues are resolved with professionalism and empathy

3. Relationship Building & Insight
-Build trusted relationships with club owners, coaches, administrators and decision-makers.
-Demonstrate a deep understanding of youth football in England: the competitive landscape, club motivations, player development pressures, and common challenges.
-Stay across trends in youth sport, using this insight to strengthen our value proposition.
Represent the JPL at events, presentations, meetings and regional activations.

4. Reporting & Internal Collaboration
-Maintain accurate records, pipelines and club updates within CRM systems.
-Produce regular reports on progress, insights, club sentiment and risks.
-Work closely with JPL ExCo to ensure everything we deliver aligns with club needs.
-Contribute ideas and solutions to help evolve the JPL offering and enhance the experience.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Knowledge
-Experience in business development, sales, partnerships and account management.
-Strong understanding of youth football — club motivations, pathways and the ecosystem.
-A track record of achieving or exceeding targets in a commercially focused role.
-Experience presenting to groups and influencing decision-makers.
Skills & Attributes
-Outstanding communication skills — articulate, confident, personable and persuasive.
-Natural relationship builder who enjoys meeting people and developing long-term connections.
-Organised, structured and self-motivated, with the ability to manage your own pipeline effectively.
-Positive, resilient and proactive — someone who thrives on growth challenges.
-Comfortable working independently but equally strong collaborating with a wider team.
-Genuine passion for youth football and for helping young people access opportunities to grow.

Why Join the JPL?
-Purpose-driven organisation with a genuine commitment to young people.
-Play a central role in a fast-growing league with national and international reach.
-Work alongside an ambitious team and passionate leaders.
-Excellent opportunities for career progression as the JPL continues to expand globally.
-Competitive salary, performance-related incentives, and flexible working.
-Be part of a movement that is shaping the future of youth football in England and beyond.

ABOUT THE JPL
The Junior Premier League (JPL) is one of the world’s most successful youth sports organisations. Each week, it brings together thousands of young people across the world, uniting them through a shared love of sport. With offices in England, the US and Qatar, the JPL cuts through cultural, linguistic and geographic barriers to give kids unparalleled opportunities to pursue their sporting dreams, whatever the obstacles. JPL players are encouraged to dream big and then we give them every chance to turn those dreams into reality.
The JPL was founded in England in 2011 but now operates in the USA and Canada, across the Middle East and in China with Australia set to launch in 2026. Our girls league, Warriors, is the fastest-growing youth football league in Europe and features the likes of Man United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs to name a few, with Jarrod Bowen and Katie Reid JPL graduates.
How to apply
If you’re energised by growth, passionate about youth football, and excited to represent a league with purpose, we’d love to hear from you. Please send a CV and covering letter, explaining why you’re the right fit for this position to Recruitment@JPLSports.com. For an informal conversation about the role, feel free to get in touch — we’re always happy to talk to great people.
