Para Physical Performance Coach (Rehab) - Casual Contract Organisation The Football Association Salary Competitive Rates Location Home Based Contract type (Part time) Closing date 6 January 2026 Job Description The FA's Para Division are looking for an experienced Physical Performance Coach to support the delivery of Para Football ‘Rehab Days' inclusive of in-person gym and pitch-based session delivery and remote programming for players returning from injury.This is a casual contract initially running until 31 July 2026, with an anticipated commitment of up to 30 days per season, including duties that may require travel outside the UK.Please include a cover letter with your application that clearly explains your interest in the role and demonstrates how your skills and experience align with the stated criteria.Interviews are scheduled to be held at The National Football Centre, St. George's Park on Wednesday 11th February 2025. This will be held over the full day and will include a practical session.Please note the following Para Rehab Day dates, all of which the successful candidate will need to be present at:21st Feb21st Mar25th Apr30th May13th June What Will You Be Doing?Provide individualised strength and conditioning programming to players based on game and individual demandsWorking with the Rehab Physio, develop a profiling battery for rehab in Para Football, with associated return to play metrics, to quantify player progressionCollect, collate and maintain database on physical profiling of playersProvide on-camp support at ‘rehab days' inclusive of gym-, pitch- and recovery-based session delivery alongside the Rehab PhysioWork with Rehab Physio, Squad Physios and Squad Physical Performance Coaches around return to play strategies for rehabbing playersWork with the Nutritionist to inform players' fuelling demandsProvide educational sessions to players & coachesSupport additional physical performance areas across Para Football squads, when neededAttendance of mandated training (i.e. EMAiF, UKAD Introduction to Clean Sport, CRC check, Safeguarding).Executes additional tasks as required to meet the FA's changing priorities.Comply with all company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and wellbeing can be maintained.As part of the FA's commitment to ensuring a safe environment for everyone in football, every employee will be required to complete a DBS check. Essential for the role:KnowledgeUndergraduate degree in sport performance related subjectsStrength and conditioning accreditation (e.g., UKSCA, NSCA, ASCA)UKAD Introduction to Clean SportExperienceExcellent coaching skills and extensive experience as a physical performance / strength and conditioning coach in elite sportExpertise within a specific domain of physical performanceExperience working with athletes undertaking rehab Technical SkillsProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience using force frames/plates (Vald or similar)Experience with isokinetic dynamometry Beneficial to have:KnowledgePostgraduate degree in sport performance related subjects ExperienceExperience in:working in elite footballworking with female athletesworking with Para athletesdeveloping profiling batteries and return to play metrics Technical SkillsExperience using Kitman LabsExperience with online training platforms (e.g., Teambuildr) What's in it for you?
