Location

Contract type
Fixed Term (Part time)
Closing date

Job Description
This role is a home-based working role, with the option to work in person with the team one day bi-weekly as a minimum. Ideally the candidate would be West Midlands based, but not necessary. The role is fixed term until August 2026 and is part time; 28 hours per week. The role will require some attendance at events or meetings outside of usual core working hours (evenings/weekends).

Are you passionate about customer service and providing a first-class administrative support to members and stakeholders? Do you thrive off ensuring clear reporting structures and organisational systems are in place? Fancy turning the tide on challenges like communication with members in a changing social media world?

Then it’s time to dive in.

We’re Swim England West Midlands, a region working alongside the national governing body for swimming, para swimming, diving, water polo and artistic swimming. We’re on a mission to make aquatic activity accessible for all.

Now, we’re looking for a Regional Administrator (Maternity Cover) to help us champion that mission where it counts: working with our members, staff teams, volunteers and key partners.

What you’ll be doing:
• Making waves developing our communication channels through our website, social medias and newsletter.
• Driving forward administrative support for our events and programmes and across all sports — from contracts and venue bookings to watertight reporting and monitoring systems.
• Providing administrative support to the Regional Management Board, specified groups and the wider regional team.
• Provide basic financial administration and upkeep, supporting the Regional Finance Director and wider regional team.
• Maintain and update regional databases, as well as making a splash with developing an annual calendar of workshops and education for our members.

About You
What we’re looking for:
• Self-motivated person with knowledge of administrative functions, programmes and basic financial experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills — you are a people person and find it easy to build and manage member relationships.
• Experience working in a busy and changeable environment, adaptability across work areas is key.
• Energy and enthusiasm
• A dynamic individual with a strong attention to detail.

Why Swim England?
This isn’t just another administrator job. It’s a chance to:
• Be part of a movement that is changing the way we do things and trying out new ways of working and engaging with our members.
• Join a team that’s ambitious, supportive and genuinely passionate.
• Work on issues that matter — from ensuring our membership is representative of the communities we reside within to ensuring our clubs are a safe and trusted space for all.
Whether you’ve worked in sport, a charity, or a community organisation, if you’re ready to make a real splash — we want to hear from you.

Apply now and help us make sure everyone has the chance to enjoy great experiences in water, for life.
