The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in football scouting, with proven expertise in identifying targets at first team level, utilising scouting technologies and maintaining databases. Candidates based in the north of the UK, or those with the ability and willingness to relocate, will be best suited for this role.Key Responsibilities:- Player Identification: Monitor and identify players for the Senior Recruitment Team through live scouting, video scouting and data analysis.- Reporting: Compile detailed reports and upload them to the club's bespoke database in a prompt and professional manner.- Player Tracking: Maintain and update a personal monitoring list of players evaluated live or via video. - Target Lists: Compile shortlists of targets and recommendations for the first team to sign, presenting to the Senior Recruitment Team when required.- Market Intelligence: Provide the Senior Recruitment Team with insightful market intelligence on an ongoing basis.- Professional Development: Attend all relevant training sessions and scouting meetings, both internally and externally, to stay ahead in the field.Club Wide Responsibilities:- To adhere to all Sheffield United Football Club's Safeguarding Policies and Procedures to foster an environment which protects from harm those defined as children and adults at risk.- To report any concerns of a Safeguarding nature to the relevant parties and remain fully compliant with any applicable Safeguarding checks and due diligence and recognise your responsibility to the Club's Safeguarding agenda.- To report any concerns of discrimination to the relevant parties and promote a welcoming and inclusive club environment for all.- To adhere to the Club's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies, supporting the Club to create an environment which is inclusive and all-encompassing.Essential Criteria:- A proactive, team-oriented individual with a track record of success and at least 5 years' experience at first team level in the Championship and/or Premier League.- Extensive existing knowledge of domestic markets.- Proficiency in using scouting technologies and software for data-driven analysis.- Strong communication and reporting skills, with attention to detail and an analytical mindset.- Willing to work unsociable hours and travel extensively as required. - Completion of a basic criminal record check through the Disclosure and Barring Service upon offer acceptance.
