Competitions and Events Officer Organisation Scottish Volleyball Salary £24,570 - £28,000 Location 48 Pleasance, Edinburgh EH8 9TJ Contract type Fixed Term Closing date 17 September 2025 Interview date 22 September 2025 Job Description CONTRACT TYPE: Full-time, 2 years fixed term.SALARY: £24,570 - £28,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.LOCATION: Scottish Volleyball, 48 Pleasance, Edinburgh, EH8 9TJ. This role will be based at the designated office with potential of some agreed remote/hybrid working.REPORTS TO: Head of Development.HOURS OF WORK: 37.5 hours per week.Summary of key responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:Perform an integral role in the implementation Scottish Volleyball’s Strategic Plan “We Are Volleyball” with particular emphasis and support for all domestic competition and international events. Promote and develop the Scottish National League, Junior National League and Scottish Cup competitions. Administer the delivery of these competitions, update league tables, perform draws and correct for rule compliance. Manage the operating budgets for all competitions and pursue, develop, and promote opportunities to accessing additional funding opportunities. Build and maintain strong relations with clubs, members, officials and other partners across Scotland. Develop a strong brand and online presence for our domestic competitions and assist in attracting external investment into these events. Work closely with indoor and beach Volleyball clubs to provide support player and club registration on our national database. Identify and pursue opportunities to increase of competitive offerings for all disciplines of our sport in the country. Develop an international events hosting strategy in conjunction with the Performance team to help support our national teams participation but also our standing as a world class host of international volleyball events. Work closely with the Development officers to support the competitive school competitions and festivals. Work with Workforce Officer to identify and recruit key volunteers and assist in the delivery of world class events. To be a positive ambassador and role model for Volleyball, uphold the organisational values and mission statement of Scottish Volleyball. Follow direction from Head of Development, work closely with the other staff to play an active role in developing volleyball. Any other duties as appropriate to the post and the needs of Scottish Volleyball.
