Job Description
Location: Windsor
Hours: Weekends (occasional weekdays)
Salary: Competitive - paid per session

About Us
Off Road Activity Centre is a specialist junior off-road motorsport facility based near Windsor, offering fun, interactive, safe and supportive motocross experience days, coaching sessions and small-group development for children aged 4-9 years. We operate three purpose-built tracks, host weekly experience days, monthly open coaching and termly small-group sessions for learners and improvers.

Our mission is to introduce children to the exciting world of motocross in a safe, controlled and highly-interactive environment: we emphasise fun, skills development, self-confidence and discipline.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Assistant Coach to join our growing team and support our Lead Coaches in delivering engaging, high-energy sessions.

The Role
As Assistant Coach you will:
Help with setup for each day’s session (equipment, track preparation, safety checks)
Assist in delivering a safety briefing to children and parents at the start of the day
Support the Lead Coach in supervising children, ensuring a safe, inclusive, respectful environment
Engage with children (primary-age) and their parents/carers, communicating instructions clearly and encouraging progression
Assist in teaching riding skills, supporting riders as they develop from beginner through improver levels
Help monitor children’s progress, encourage positive behaviour and promote our safe and supportive coaching ethos
Occasionally assist at birthday parties or private track hire events as required

About You
You should ideally bring:
A keen interest in motorsport, off-road riding or motocross/trials background (desirable)
Excellent time-keeping and reliability - sessions run to schedule and punctuality is essential
Strong communication skills: comfortable interacting with children aged c. 4-11 and their parents/carers
A friendly, positive and energetic coaching style, with the ability to motivate, support and manage groups of young riders
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential) and your base within ~30 minutes’ drive of Windsor
A valid DBS check (or be prepared to obtain one) - mandatory before appointment
First aid qualification is desirable (or willingness to obtain)

Why work with us?
A fantastic opportunity to develop your coaching skills in a unique and growing sector of motorsport for children
Weekend hours - ideal for someone looking for extra work alongside another role or study

Join a professional team of fully-qualified coaches operating in a purpose-built facility specially designed for junior riders.

Be part of a fun, supportive environment helping young people build confidence, learn new skills and enjoy a vibrant sport.
How to apply
Please submit your CV and a covering letter (max 1 page) explaining why you are interested in this role, what relevant experience or interests you have (motorsport, multi-sport coaching, working with children) and confirm your driving licence status and approximate travel time to Windsor. Applications without a covering letter will not be considered. Closing date: 19th December 2025 Interviews to be held shortly afterwards and appointment subject to successful DBS check and right to work in the UK. (Email your job application to info@offroadactivitycentre.co.uk subject 'assistant coach role') We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming the right candidate to our team!
