Together with our passionate fans and valued network of partners, we are developing Manchester City’s future history.Manchester City is seeking a PDP Performance Nutritionist to support players within the Professional Development Phase (U18–U21) at our Academy in Manchester.Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll deliver evidence-informed nutrition support to optimise player performance, health and recovery. This includes individualised player support, education delivery and collaboration with performance, medical and catering teams to ensure a world-class nutrition environment.This is a key role within the Academy’s performance structure, directly contributing to player development and long-term success.Your ImpactDeliver integrated performance nutrition support to PDP squads and individual players.Provide tailored nutrition plans to optimise performance, recovery and adaptation to training.Support injured players with nutrition aligned to rehabilitation and return-to-play programmes.Monitor and profile players to identify key insights and inform individual development plans.Deliver educational sessions to players and staff to promote effective fuelling and healthy behaviours.Work closely with the Head Chef and catering team to align food provision with performance needs.Provide regular reporting and updates on player progress to key stakeholders.Support budget management and ongoing development of the Academy nutrition service. What we are looking forUndergraduate and postgraduate degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Nutrition, Sport Science).SENr accreditation (or equivalent professional registration).ISAK Level 1 certification.Experience delivering performance nutrition support to athletes, ideally within youth or elite environments.Strong understanding of nutrition principles to support performance, recovery and body composition.Ability to interpret data and provide clear, actionable insights to inform decision-making.Experience working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (e.g. coaching, medical, performance). *We regularly review applications and reserve the right to close an advert early if we identify suitable candidates.
