Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a Project Officer to support the development, coordination and delivery of a diverse range of sport, physical activity and health programmes across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
This is a fast-paced, varied role suited to someone who thrives on juggling priorities, building relationships and getting things done — while keeping people at the heart of their work. You’ll bring curiosity, care and momentum, alongside a passion for health, physical activity and tackling inequalities.
Working closely with internal colleagues and a wide range of partners, you’ll help deliver strategic priorities and funded programmes across different communities and settings, ensuring activity is accessible, inclusive and impactful.

Location: St Ives/Hybrid/local community
Salary: £28,000-£31,000
Terms: Full time
Fixed term til March 2027

About You
We’d love to hear from you if you:
• Are energetic, approachable, and passionate about helping people be active.
• Experienced in project management and delivery of physical activity.
• Experienced in a breadth of development areas, such as health inequalities, children and young people, active travel, workforce development.
• Are flexible and willing to work evenings/weekends when needed.
• Experienced in working in partnership environments.
• Have a full UK driving licence and access to transport
