As Sports Turf Academy Services Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing Sports Turf Academy's technical services commercial and operational development. You will engage with grassroots football, multisport clubs and relevant stakeholders to support and facilitate their pitch improvements.Your responsibilities will include:Lead and manage the Technical Services team, overseeing planning and operations.Deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality pitch improvement and turf renovation projects across grassroots and professional facilities.Provide technical expertise, evaluations, reports, and guidance to turf professionals and volunteers.Plan and manage resources, machinery, transport, budgets, and project timelines.Ensure compliance with health, safety, safeguarding, and environmental standards.Drive continuous improvement, meet performance and budget targets, and produce progress reports.Build strong relationships with clubs, partners, and stakeholders to support project delivery.Contribute to the strategic growth, reputation, and industry presence of the Sports Turf Academy.The ideal candidate will have significant experience working in Sports Turf Management and specifically have: EssentialProven management and leadership experience with a drive to grow business opportunities.Qualified in Sports Turf Management (Level 3 or above) with strong sector knowledge.Full driving licence and confidence driving large vehicles with trailers.Strong understanding of project management, resource estimation, contracts, and budgets.Excellent customer service, relationship management, communication, and presentation skills.Highly competent in Microsoft Office with strong administrative abilities.DesirableExperience managing a grounds maintenance business or contracting operations.Foundation Degree in Sports Turf Science or higher.Experience towing and transporting equipment, and working in grounds maintenance contracting.IOSH Health & Safety and First Aid at Work certifications.Personal participation in sport (e.g. football, cricket, golf).If you think your experience and skills match, and you’ve got the drive, energy, and skills to work in a fast-paced, high-performance environment, we want you on our team!
