The Role

Job Title: National Development Coach
Reports To: Performance Manager (Kieran Malone)
Location: Flexible (with regular attendance at The British Wrestling Academy, Salford, M7 1RQ)
Contract: Part-time (18.5 hours per week), 12-month fixed term (renewable subject to funding)
Salary: £28,000 pro rata

As our National Development Coach, you will work closely with the Performance Manager to coordinate and deliver a world-class performance pathway. Your primary focus will be creating a high-intensity training environment that prepares our athletes to win against international opposition.

You will not just be a coach; you will be a mentor and a leader. From providing tactical corner support at major international competitions to mentoring club coaches on elite planning processes, you will ensure a unified approach to athlete development across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Way: Deliver high-intensity, modern wrestling coaching that allows athletes to maximise their potential.
International Impact: Act as Lead Coach for GBR Teams abroad, providing expert tactical analysis and corner support.
Collaborate: Work with club coaches, parents, and carers to align athlete planning and development.
Plan for Success: Coordinate national practice and competition schedules alongside the Performance Manager.
Safety First: Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, anti-doping, and health & safety policies at all times.
Culture: Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and resilience, living the core values of British Wrestling.
