Are you passionate about sport and making a real impact? Do you thrive on supporting clubs, coaches and volunteers to unlock their full potential? If so, this is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s most progressive and people-focused National Governing Bodies as our new Club Development Officer.

At British Triathlon, we believe sport has the power to transform lives and we’re on a mission to make that happen. As our Club Development Officer in the South East, you’ll sit right at the heart of this vision, helping clubs, coaches, and volunteers thrive so that more people can experience the magic of triathlon.

This is more than a job it’s a chance to create impact that lasts. You’ll work closely with passionate people across the region, championing growth, inclusion, and excellence at every level. Together, we’ll build stronger clubs, empower volunteers, and open doors for everyone to take part in this incredible sport.

What You’ll Do
• You’ll be a friendly face and trusted presence, bringing people together across Essex, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Kent, and Greater London, helping clubs and communities feel supported and confident every step of the way
• Support the growth, governance, and sustainability of our club network
• Encourage and champion volunteers, coaches, and committees, so they can create welcoming, memorable experiences for every member
• Assist in the delivery of national priorities in areas such as membership growth, workforce development, tackling inequalities, and safeguarding

Who You Are
You’re a passionate, engaging, and proactive sports development professional who understands the powerful role clubs play in driving the sport of triathlon.
You’ll bring:
• Proven experience in club or community sport development
• A strong understanding of club governance, coach, and volunteer support
• Confidence working on the ground with a wide range of people
• Commitment, empathy, and a genuine love for helping others succeed

Experience in triathlon is a bonus - but your ability to inspire and deliver is what matters most. If you have the skills and enthusiasm, we’ll help you learn the sport!

Why Join Us
This is far from a desk job. It’s a hands-on, heart-of-the-action role where you’ll drive change that will shape the future of our sport. You’ll see the real impact of your work. You’ll join a passionate, supportive team and play a part in creating moments that define the UK sporting landscape.
• Full-time, home-based position with extensive travel across the South East
• Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when the sport comes alive
• Be part of our bold development strategy: The Big Active

If you’re ready to bring enthusiasm, creativity and purpose to a role that changes lives through sport, we want to hear from you.

• 25 days annual leave, increasing with length of service, enhanced with a flexible holiday buying scheme.
• A commitment to colleague’s development, with weekly time ringfenced for personal and collaborative learning and development.
• Enhanced Maternity, Paternity, and Adoption Pay.
• 2 days pro rata paid volunteer leave.
• Free and accessible parking outside the Loughborough head office.
• Pension scheme, life assurance scheme, and private medical insurance to care for you and your loved ones.
