Job Description: Due to an increase in our UK Sport funded Olympic Sport Climbing programme an exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time Aspirant GB Coach to join the BMC to provide support to the Olympic programme and the wider Performance Department.

The Aspirant GB Coach role has been designed for an athlete who is transitioning from competing to coaching, however we would also consider applications from early career coaches. The purpose of the role is to provide a supported pathway into the coaching profession with structured learning, practical coaching experience and tailored transition support. The role aims to harness the Aspirant GB Coach’s lived experience of high-performance competition climbing and guide them as they begin their professional coaching journey.  The Aspirant GB Coach will support the Academy Coach with delivery of domestic training events and athlete development processes. They will gradually take on more responsibility as they progress through the programme and will be fully supported through formal education including a UK Sport course beginning in autumn (subject to successful application).
