Women & Girls Coordinator (Part Time)

Location: Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol, with delivery across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire

Hours: Part time – 25 hours per week (evening and weekend work will be required)

Bristol Bears Foundation is the official charity of Bristol Bears. We believe rugby is more than just a game. It's our way to create lasting change. Through our strategy, Beyond the Bear, we use rugby as a tool to tackle inequality by inspiring healthier, stronger, and more connected communities across Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire.

We're looking for a passionate and driven Women & Girls Coordinator to lead and develop opportunities for female participation across our community rugby programmes. This exciting role will focus on creating inclusive, engaging, and high-quality experiences that inspire more women and girls to get involved in rugby, while helping them progress through local rugby pathways.

Your Role

As our Women & Girls Coordinator, you will play a key role in driving female participation across Bristol Bears Foundation programmes, working closely with the Community Rugby Manager and a wide range of schools, clubs, community organisations and partners.

You will lead the delivery of the Eagle Project, support the coordination girls-only player development programmes, coordinate women's matchday activations, and help ensure women and girls have equal opportunities to access rugby throughout the region.

Key areas of responsibility include:

- Developing and leading the delivery of the Eagle Project

- Supporting the coordination and delivery of Bristol Bears Foundation Player Development Camps, with a particular focus on girls-only participation programmes

- Planning and delivering high-quality rugby sessions for women and girls in schools and community settings

- Supporting the transition of participants into local grassroots clubs and established female rugby pathways

- Coordinating women's matchday activations throughout the season, including player visits and opportunities for project beneficiaries to attend fixtures

What You'll Bring

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If you're excited about the role and meet most of the criteria, we'd love to hear from you.

Essential:

- Experience working with young people aged 11-16 and/or targeted groups in areas of deprivation

- Experience planning and delivering structured sessions or programmes

- Experience working within education, youth engagement, sport development or the charity sector

- Experience delivering high-quality sports coaching sessions within schools and/or community settings

- Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders and partners to achieve shared goals

- Experience of delivering high-quality rugby sessions in a community environment.

- England Rugby Coaching Award (ERCA), RFU Level 2 Coaching Award (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards

- Strong communication, organisational and relationship-building skills

- Ability to monitor, record and evaluate programme outcomes

- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings and weekends

- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle

- Enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references
