Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

1.The Department

The Aston Villa Foundation is the official Charity of Aston Villa Football Club and prides itself in being innovative in its approach to the club being used as a ‘Force for Good’.The Fundraising and Grants Executive will operate within the Fundraising team which is part of the Foundation’s Central Team. The role will support the Fundraising Lead and Development Manager (Grants and Fundraising) with bringing in restricted and unrestricted funds to support the Foundation’s work in the community.

2. The Role

The successful post-holder will join the Fundraising team responsible for raising funds to support the Foundation’s work in the community. The Fundraising and Grants Executive will support the Fundraising Lead in compiling and delivering a fundraising events calendar, fundraising campaigns and initiatives, as well as supporting the Development Manager to research grant opportunities and write compelling grant funding applications.

The Fundraising and Grants Executive will be required to provide fundraising event administration support and ensure that all records are up to date on the fundraising CRM. The post-holder will also support donor stewardship by managing day-to-day donor communications additionally, they will provide administrative support by maintaining and vetting records of grant agreements and contracts for Foundation funded initiatives and commissioning projects.This role will require you to work occasional evenings and weekends.

3. The Person

The ideal candidate for this role will have the relevant knowledge and experience of working in a fundraising environment within the third sector and have the confidence to support the delivery of fundraising events, initiatives and campaigns, as well as having the confidence to build on donor relations.The post-holder must have a passion for improving the lives of children and young people and show an interest in community projects. We are seeking an individual who has excellent written and verbal skills to assist in researching and writing compelling funding applications to align with the Foundation’s strategic plan.You must have excellent organisation skills and display excellent attention to detail across all responsibilities of this role. You must be confident in communicating with donors and working in a front facing environment.
