The University is seeking to appoint a Sport Coordinator to support the development of our University of Manchester sport scholarship and strategic sport programmes. The role holder will be responsible for supporting the Performance Sport and broader UoM Sport strategic objectives that aim to deliver high quality sport and physical activity experiences for everyone at every level. Specifically, the Sport Coordinator will coordinate an annual cycle of sport scholarship support, formalise internal and external partnerships with sporting excellence alumni and support the Performance Sport Officer in the development of strategically targeted sports programmes and talent acquisition.

The successful candidate will coordinate our year-round performance sport program, including student recruitment, scholarship program delivery, strategic sport project support, and sporting excellence alumni engagement. This role involves collaborating with various individuals and teams across the UoM Sport department and managing multiple stakeholders and partners simultaneously. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and have a strong understanding of planning, delivering, and reviewing performance-oriented and talent development programs. Competence in using IT (specifically M365 apps and software), working within budget parameters, recording and evaluating data, and planning, prioritizing, and organizing work to meet agreed objectives is also required. We seek an enthusiastic and engaging individual with significant experience in performance and scholarship sport in the UK, ideally within the higher education sports environment.
