Equality Standards
UK Sport is the strategic lead body for high performance sport in the UK. UK Sport’s ambition is for a sustainable high performance sport system, whilst ensuring UK / British bodies are best placed to deliver outstanding performance.
As part of UK Sport’s wider Governance work, our role is to challenge and support all funded National Governing Bodies (NGBs) and partners to become world leading organisations. As part of this work, NGBs and funded partners are required to achieve progressively higher levels of the Equality Standard during the Rio Cycle (2013-17).
To support NGBs and funded partners achieve levels of the Equality Standard, UK Sport is establishing a team of equality experts to create an Equality Standard Approved Supplier List.
UK Sport is seeking individuals that have the skills, knowledge and experience to:
- support organisations that are funded by UK Sport as they work towards different levels of the Equality Standard for Sport. This person is known as the Designated Support Lead (DSL)
AND
- evaluate submissions for all levels of the Equality Standard and make the final, independent decision on whether the submission is meets the outcomes of the relevant level. This person is known as the Equality Standard Assessor (EQSA).
Individuals can apply to be a DSL, EQSA, or both. Anyone interested in being part of the Approved Supplier List should read the Request for Proposal Document.
