Chelsea Warr
Chelsea has been Head of Athlete Development at UK Sport since February 2009 where she is responsible for the UK Talent Team which includes the strategic investment and development of athlete identification and development issues in the World Class system. Chelsea joined UK Sport in 2005 as a Performance Programme Consultant and later became UK Talent Manager before being promoted to her current role.
Responsible for the development and implementation of a UK Talent Strategy to drive and influence more sophisticated Talent Identification, Confirmation and Development practice across the World Class system, Chelsea leads a team of specialist talent practitioners/scientist who deliver a range of discrete talent projects and initiatives supporting targeted NGBs.
Prior to working for UK Sport, Chelsea was the Talent Identification and Development Manager for British Swimming where she established a UK-wide systematic recruitment and development system as part of their ‘World Class Programme’.
Chelsea started her career with the Australian Institute of Sport where she was an Exercise Physiologist. During this time she consulted to a number of nations such as the Singapore Sports Council before moving to the UK.
