Job Description
British Ski and Snowboard Limited (BSS) is at a unique and exciting juncture; as the largest Non-Governing Body within British Winter Olympic sport, its vision is for Britain to become a top-five Olympic & World Class Ski and Snowboard nation by 2030. BSS has put in place an exceptional and world-class performance structure enabling British athletes to compete at the highest level in the Olympic Games and at World and European Championships across Alpine, Park & Pipe, Freestyle Ski & Snowboard and Nordic (Cross Country).

BSS is now seeking to appoint a world-class CEO with the commercial acumen, leadership and drive to ensure the organisation realises its vision.

Key Accountabilities:

As CEO you will have overall responsibility for BSS and;
- Ensure the organisation has the required resources to meet its strategic objective, maintaining effective coordination of all stakeholders including UK Sport
- Full P&L responsibility, including the setting of realistic expenditure budgets and leading and developing the Senior Management Team and key staff
- Drive the commercial strategy to develop additional funding streams
- Represent the UK at national and international events as a credible ambassador for the British Ski & Snowboarding elite and para athletes

Essential Skills:

As CEO, you will be;
- A proven leader with exceptional corporate governance experience and a proven commercial track record in developing innovative new funding schemes from both the private and public sector
- An outstanding ambassador and relationship builder, able to operate comfortably in a varied, multi-stakeholder environment and deliver results
- An individual with passion and vision for Snowsports, however previous experience within the sports industry is not essential
