National Lottery and the Exchequer funding goes towards continuing to identify our best athletes and help them train, while also giving them more opportunities to compete in the UK to qualify and prepare for Olympic and Paralympic Games.

  • Bupa

    Official Partner

    For over 10 years Bupa have supported the UK Sport Athlete Medical Scheme. Delivered in partnership with the English Institute of Sport, the Athlete Medical Scheme allows athletes to receive specialist medical treatment, when expertise outside of the day to day medical support is required. During this time, Bupa has provided cover for over 46,000 treatments for British athletes, which have included over 1,600 fractures and over 5,000 surgeries.

    Funding Partner

    Uk Sport is one of the 12 official National Lottery distributors. The National Lottery have donated £337m to the funding of elite sport in the United Kingdom for the years 2013-2017. Since National Lottery funding for Olympic and Paralympic sport started, British athletes have won 863 medals.
