Following Wednesday's win over Denmark, England manager Gareth Southgate will be able to call upon Olympic and Paralympic-medal winning expertise ahead of Sunday's Euro 2020 final against Italy.
The England manager is a former participant of the UK Sport's World Class Coaching: Elite programme and graduated from the three year course in April 2019.
The three-year course helps to enhance and develop current world class coaches working within the British system, encouraging coaches to network within other sports from world class to leading level.
Southgate, in charge of England in their first major final since 1966, said “There’s lots to be learnt across sports, with similar challenges with coaches working at a high international level, so there’s huge value for everyone on the course.
"I’m the first person in football to be involved in this course so that’s not only a privilege but a great opportunity”
“We’re very open to other sports, we’ve been to workshops, sharing ideas with coaches and other members of performance staff. We have coaches in our country who’ve won Olympic medals and coach world champions so it makes sense to tap into that knowledge”
Former participants on the Elite Programme include Rob McCracken, trainer of Anthony Joshua and Adam Peaty's coach, Mel Marshall.
