Job Description
Location: South London
Club: Young Queens FC
Commitment: Approximately 5–8 hours per week (flexible)
Optional: Coaching an Under 18 team (not essential)

About Young Queens FC

Young Queens FC is a girls-only football club providing opportunities for girls aged Under 8 to Under 18 to play, develop and thrive in a positive, safe and inclusive environment.

Our ambition is simple: to remove barriers to participation and create one of South London's leading girls' football clubs, where every player can enjoy football, develop confidence and reach their potential.

The club is led by a committee of experienced professionals who are passionate about building a sustainable, player-centred club that supports both players and volunteers to succeed.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an ambitious and passionate Head of Football to help shape the future of Young Queens FC.

This is an exciting leadership role for someone who wants to make a lasting impact on girls' football. You'll lead the football programme across the club, supporting coaches, developing players and helping to ensure every team delivers a positive experience both on and off the pitch.

While the role may include coaching our Under 18 team, this is entirely optional. Our priority is finding someone who shares our vision for growing the girls' game and developing an outstanding football environment.

This position would particularly suit someone with coaching experience who is looking to gain valuable leadership, organisational and football management experience within a growing community club.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the football programme across all age groups.
- Support, mentor and develop coaches throughout the season.
- Help establish and maintain a consistent coaching philosophy across the club.
- Monitor player development and ensure every team provides a positive football experience.
- Work with coaches and committee members to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Support player recruitment and retention.
- Help drive participation and improve access to football for girls across South London.
- Contribute to the long-term football strategy and development of Young Queens FC.
- Work collaboratively with the committee to ensure the club continues to grow sustainably.
- Coach a team.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is:

- Passionate about developing girls' football.
- An experienced football coach or football leader.
- A positive and supportive mentor to coaches and volunteers.
- Organised, proactive and collaborative.
- Committed to creating a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for every player.
- Excited by the opportunity to help build a growing football club.

What You'll Receive

- The opportunity to shape the football direction of an ambitious girls' club.
- Leadership experience within a growing football organisation.
- Ongoing support from an experienced committee with expertise across coaching, safeguarding, governance and club development.
- The opportunity to develop management, leadership and strategic planning skills.
- A chance to make a meaningful difference to the lives of girls and young women through football.

Why Join Young Queens FC?

This is more than a volunteer role.

It's an opportunity to help build something special.

You'll play a central role in creating an environment where girls across South London can access high-quality football, develop confidence, build lifelong friendships and discover a lifelong love of the game.

If you're passionate about football, believe in the power of sport to change lives and want to help shape the future of girls' football, we'd love to hear from you.
