This role is perfect for someone passionate about people, football, and starting a career in HR.Role OverviewAs an HR Apprentice, you’ll support the day-to-day operations of the club’s HR function — working with departments across football operations, academy, commercial, and stadium teams. You'll gain hands-on HR experience while studying toward your CIPD qualification.Key Responsibilities• Support the administration of the employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, changes, and leavers.• Assist with maintaining accurate HR records.• Help with recruitment processes: posting jobs, screening CVs, coordinating interviews.• Prepare offer letters, contracts, and induction packs for new staff.• Support safeguarding and compliance processes (e.g., DBS checks, training records).• Update HR systems and databases (e.g. absence tracking, holiday records).• Assist with payroll processing.• Respond to routine HR queries.• Participate in HR projects, including wellbeing, equality, diversity & inclusion, and training initiatives.Person SpecificationEssential:• Strong interest in starting a career in Human Resources.• Enthusiastic and proactive with excellent organisational skills.• Good written and verbal communication skills.• GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above).• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.• Willingness to work flexibly, including some evenings/weekends.Desirable:• Interest in football or sports industry.• Experience in an admin or customer service role.What We Offer• Funded CIPD Level 3 Apprenticeship.• Experience working across the club.• A chance to contribute to exciting HR and people initiatives within the club.• Progression opportunities upon completion.
