Job Description
Weightlifting Wales (WW) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced individual to work in partnership with the National Governing Body to lead and grow the delivery of British Weight Lifting coach education courses across Wales.

This is a self-employed partnership opportunity, offering the flexibility to build and develop coach education alongside your existing commitments through a profit-share arrangement with WW.

The successful individual will play a key role in expanding coach education, working closely with licensed clubs, training facilities and partner organisations to create a sustainable, income-generating coach education programme across Wales.

The Opportunity
WW has become a British Weight Lifting Licensed Delivery Partner and is now looking to appoint a Coach Education Delivery Partner to lead the organisation, delivery and growth of coach education courses across Wales.
Initially, delivery will focus on:
• Level 1 Award in Coaching Olympic Weightlifting
• Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Olympic Weightlifting
• Combined Level 1 Award and Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Olympic Weightlifting
• Strength qualifications (subject to future demand)

There will also be opportunities to expand into additional British Weight Lifting, Strength, Gym Instructor and Personal Training qualifications, together with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses and Masterclasses, as demand develops.

WW will remain the Licensed Delivery Partner, providing governance, quality assurance, marketing, strategic oversight and ongoing support, while the successful Delivery Partner leads the operational delivery and growth of the programme.

Key Responsibilities
The successful Delivery Partner will:
• Develop a sustainable and profitable coach education programme that generates income for both WW and the Delivery Partner.
• Organise and coordinate coach education courses across Wales.
• Develop and grow the annual programme of courses.
• Liaise with British Weight Lifting regarding course administration and compliance.
• Work with licensed clubs and partner organisations to identify suitable venues.
• Deliver coach education courses across Wales where appropriately qualified.
• Where appropriate, identify and manage suitably qualified tutors to support delivery, subject to agreement with WW.
• Promote courses alongside WW.
• Ensure a high-quality learner experience.
• Maintain accurate records and drive continuous improvement.

Person Specification

Essential
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a strong knowledge of Olympic Weightlifting.
• Has experience delivering tutor-led courses, coach education or other learning programmes.
• Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Is self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Can build positive relationships with licensed clubs and partner organisations.
• Holds an Enhanced DBS certificate and a current safeguarding qualification.
• Is passionate about developing coaches and growing participation.

Desirable
• British Weight Lifting tutor qualification.
• Experience organising education programmes or courses.
• Welsh language skills.
