Accreditation Operations Manager

Location: Wembley Stadium, London (with travel across the UK & Ireland)

Contract: Fixed-term | February 2027 – Summer 2028

About UK & Ireland 2028 Limited

UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is the local organising committee responsible for delivering UEFA EURO 2028 across the UK & Ireland. We work on behalf of the five Football Associations and in partnership with governments, host cities, stadiums and delivery partners to plan and deliver the tournament safely, inclusively and to world-class standards.

About UEFA EURO 2028

UEFA EURO is one of the world’s largest sporting events. In 2028, it will be hosted across multiple cities in the UK & Ireland, requiring large-scale coordination across transport, infrastructure, stadiums and public services. UEFA owns the tournament and sets requirements; UK & Ireland 2028 Limited is responsible for delivering it locally.

The Role

This role supports the successful delivery of the UK&I 2028 Tournament by ensuring the effective planning, coordination, and execution of accreditation operations. The role contributes through a collaborative, service-oriented, and detail-focused approach, while consistently demonstrating our organisational values: Embrace the Opportunity, Achieve Excellence, and Thrive Together.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of accreditation operations across all venues, ensuring services are delivered consistently, meet operational requirements and in line with agreed timelines.
• Lead the implementation and management of background screening according to the agreed parameters and service levels with the local authorities.
• Build, engage and support the Accreditation Operations team, starting with the hiring of the two direct reports in 2027 and then the venue-based team in 2028. Ensuring they perform at their best in a high-pressure delivery environment.
• Manage and support the Accreditation Operations team, setting clear objectives, providing guidance, resolving operational challenges and fostering a high-performing and inclusive team culture.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, venue stakeholders, security partners, and external suppliers to support effective programme delivery.
• Track operational performance, identify opportunities for process improvement, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, compliance, and stakeholder experience.
• Adapt to changing organisational and event needs, taking on additional responsibilities as required to support the successful delivery of the accreditation programme.
• Prioritise and coordinate day-to-day activities across accreditation and background screening operations to ensure all deliverables are completed to a high professional standard.

What we’re looking for

Essential experience and skills:
• Exposure to working in Accreditation; experience leading operational functions, programmes, or workstreams within large-scale events, security, public sector, or similarly complex environments.
• Experience managing and developing teams to deliver high-quality operational outcomes.
• Knowledge of accreditation, credentialing or related operational processes.
• Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Understanding of data protection, confidentiality, compliance, and information security requirements.
• Experience delivering operational services.

Technical Skills

• Strong operational planning, coordination, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to analyse data, produce reports, and use insights to support decision-making.
• Experience using operational database systems.
• Strong problem-solving, risk management, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
