Job Description
Trafford Leisure is on the lookout for a Health and Fitness Instructor to join our team.

Location: move Urmston

Rate: £13.55 per hour

Hours: 9.5‑hour contract, with set shifts:

Tuesday 16:30–20:30
Saturday 09:00–14:30
Please note you must be able to commit to both shifts.

We are also recruiting Casual Health and Fitness Instructors. If you are unable to commit to the contracted hours above but would like to join Trafford Leisure and gain valuable experience, we encourage you to apply. Please indicate this clearly within your application form.

The Role:

As a Health and Fitness Instructor, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe and motivating environment for our members. You’ll support customers to achieve their fitness goals through excellent customer service, programme design, gym inductions and general fitness guidance.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build experience in the fitness industry, supplement existing work, or fit employment around studies, family commitments or personal training clients.

In this role of Health and Fitness Instructor, you will be responsible for:

Welcoming customers and helping them feel comfortable in the gym
Showing people how to use equipment safely and giving fitness advice
Creating fitness programmes to support members’ goals
Delivering or covering fitness classes (where qualified) and preparing equipment as required
Keeping the gym clean, safe and tidy, and helping with membership enquiries
Qualifications We are Looking For:

Essential:

Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification
Desirable (please be encouraged to apply if you have any of these):

Level 3 Personal Training
Pre & Post‑Natal
GP Referral
Spin / Indoor Cycling
Group Exercise–specific qualifications
