Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE

Working as part of the Customer Services team, this role is vital in providing high-quality customer service as the first point of contact for all enquiries. The Customer Service & Ranking Administrator will ensure smooth and accurate management of membership and ranking data, supporting the integrity of Table Tennis England’s competitive structure.

The role involves responding to telephone enquiries, maintaining the quality of data on the membership database through accurate and timely processing of membership information from various sources (paper forms, electronic submissions, spreadsheets, and other software). Additionally, the Ranking Officer will be responsible for effectively managing ranking result entries, the ranking database, and handling any related queries.



THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an exciting opportunity to join Table Tennis England’s Customer Services team and play a key role in supporting members and players nationwide. You will be at the forefront of delivering excellent customer service while ensuring the accuracy and reliability of membership and ranking data.

The role offers the chance to work closely with players, tournament organisers, and internal teams, contributing to the smooth operation of the ranking system that underpins competitive play. Your work will help maintain trust and transparency in the sport, ensuring that rankings reflect performance and encourage participation at all levels.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• To provide support and guidance for all customers and members with any enquiry they may have either over the phone or via email.

• Help manage Zendesk tickets that come in via the helpdesk ensuring a timely response.

• To liaise and provide appropriate support and advice to all other departments within the organisation.

• To support the Operations department in all aspects of their work.

• To maintain the accuracy and quality of information held on the Membership Database.

• To provide support and guidance for Table Tennis England members with registration or annual renewal of memberships.

• Point of contact for Tournament Organisers, to assist them with up-to-date ranking information and membership checks for their tournament entrants.

• To attend Ranking Policy annual meeting as Table Tennis England staff representative.

• Prepare, enter and verify results from UK tournaments and international tournaments

• Proactively chase missing results & payments

• Production of the monthly National ranking run, ranking lists and reports

• Act as point of contact for players who have queries relating to their results/ranking, liaise with Head of Competitions, if needed.

• To liaise with other National Table Tennis Associations regarding membership affiliations

• Support the Membership & Systems Manager where required.

• Attend training as required for ongoing development and to support the organisation


**Other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time commensurate with the business of Table Tennis England
