Job Description
Our standard Full Time Equivalent hours are 35 hours per week, unless otherwise specified in the job advert.

Swim England is the national governing body for swimming in England.

We help people learn how to swim, enjoy the water safely, and compete in all our sports.

Our vision is of a nation swimming and we strive to inspire everyone to enjoy the water in the way that suits them. We work with our partners to create engaging programmes that enable everyone to be active, have fun and stay healthy through swimming.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join This is an exciting opportunity to join Swim England's Aquatic Clubs Team and play a key role in delivering our club development offer.

Working directly with clubs, volunteers, partners and stakeholders, you will help clubs overcome challenges, identify opportunities and strengthen their long-term sustainability. You will also work with local communities and partners to increase participation opportunities and support the wider growth of aquatics.

As a field-based role, no two days are the same. You'll spend time building relationships, supporting clubs on the ground, facilitating local collaboration and helping to connect communities with aquatics opportunities across the region.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Swim England's club development and support offer across the North-West and West Midlands region.
- Build trusted relationships with clubs, volunteers and key stakeholders.
- Support clubs to identify opportunities, overcome challenges and achieve their development goals.
- Provide practical guidance, advice and support across a range of club development matters.
- Develop and deliver engagement, networking and learning opportunities for clubs and volunteers.
- Work closely with Swim England Regional Teams and County Associations to deliver a coordinated support offer.
- Build relationships with schools, local authorities, leisure operators, community organisations and other local partners.
- Support clubs in creating safe, positive and inclusive environments for members.
- Work collaboratively with safeguarding, business engagement and development colleagues to provide a joined-up service.
- Contribute to projects, resources and initiatives that support participation, club development and tackling inequalities.

Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Experience working within sport development, physical activity, community sport or a related environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with volunteers and community-based organisations.
- Strong stakeholder management and partnership development experience.
- Knowledge of the sport and physical activity landscape.
- The ability to work independently and manage your own workload effectively.
- A collaborative approach and strong team ethic.
- Experience supporting projects, programmes or initiatives that create positive community impact.
- Knowledge and experience of aquatic delivery.

It would be advantageous if you also have:
- Coaching or teaching qualifications within swimming or aquatics.
- Experience working within a National Governing Body, Active Partnership, local authority, leisure operator or community sport organisation.

Additional Information
- This is a field-based role covering the North-West and West Midlands region.
- Regular travel throughout the region is required, together with occasional evening and weekend working to support clubs, meetings and events.
- Applicants should live within, or within reasonable travelling distance of, the region.
- A full UK driving licence and access to transport are essential.
