The security officer's responsibilities include patrolling the premises, monitoring venue access, investigating suspicious behaviour, and providing a warm and professional welcome to the Kia Oval.Who are weSurrey County Cricket Club is committed to making sure cricket is a game for everyone. We are looking for people to join us on the journey of handing cricket over to future generations as the most inclusive and diverse sport in the world.What you’ll do:Main Duties: •Protect the Club’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment•Monitor and authorise entrance of vehicles and people onto the premises•Secure all exits, doors, and windows after end of operations •Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence •Provide assistance to people in need •Monitor CCTV cameras and report all suspicious behaviour•Communicate with police, fire brigade, and ambulance service when required•Monitor public access and ensure the security of all personnel and visitors•Respond to alarms and analyse security footage•Investigate suspicious behaviour, incidents, and security breaches•Apprehend trespassers and perpetrators where safe to do so•Maintain an activity log and prepare CCTV/Security reports•Adhering to all company policiesMatch Day•Open any relevant entry/exit doors•Open the gate for staff and vehicle•Control vehicle access•Open turnstiles (if in use) for staff arrivals in morning•Checking staff passes•Checking and issuing media passes•CCTV reviewing and recording•Meet and greet visitors and VIP guests•Take any deliveries that arrive•Attend to any security issues that may arise•Be available to deal with all queries and requests•Issue Keys, Radios, and passes•Handle Lost property•Sign in and out contractors & HousekeepingThe PersonThe successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities:•SIA DS, CCTV and First Aid trained•Outstanding observation skills. Has a keen eye for detail and the ability to stay vigilant to security risks•Excellent communication skills•Strong reporting skills•Working knowledge of public safety, security operations, and procedures•Promote a “Can Do” attitude •Maintain a professional image on duty, including a polite and courteous manner cheerful disposition and punctuality •Ability to exercise good judgment.
