Stockport County is a club on the rise. For the past 11 years, we've finished higherevery season, climbing from the National League North to finishing 3rd in LeagueOne, which has built on our rich and storied history that dates to 1890.

About Stockport County Community Trust:

Stockport County Community Trust is the official charity of Stockport County FC. We are committed to using the power of football to inspire positive change across Stockport and Greater Manchester. Our programmes focus on health, education, inclusion, and sport participation, engaging people of all ages and backgrounds.

Role Purpose:

We are looking for a creative and motivated Junior Content Creator to help tell the stories of our community impact. This role is ideal for someone passionate about community, storytelling, and social change, who wants to grow their skills in a dynamic and meaningful environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Storytelling: Develop human-interest stories and case studies that highlight the impact of community programmes.
• Content Creation: Create, produce write, edit, and publish engaging content for digital platforms (website, social media, newsletters).
• Social Media Management: Assist in scheduling and posting content across platforms like Instagram, X (Twitter), Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Photography & Videography: Capture and edit photos and videos at events, programmes, and matchdays.
• Campaign Support: Contribute to the planning and execution of digital campaigns (e.g. Mental Health Awareness Week, EFL Week of Action).
• Brand Consistency: Ensure all content aligns with the organisation’s tone, values, and visual identity and is inclusive and accessible.
• Analytics & Reporting: Track engagement metrics and contribute to monthly reports on content performance.

Personal Specification

Essential:

• Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
• A passion for community development.
• Experience using social media platforms (Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn).
• Basic photography and video editing skills (e.g. Canva, Adobe Premiere Rush, CapCut).
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Desirable:

• Degree or diploma in journalism, media, communications, or a related field.
• Experience working or volunteering in a community or charitable setting.
• Knowledge of the EFL Trust and its national programmes.
• Familiarity with Stockport and its local communities.
