Founded in 1883, Stockport County are one of the country’s longest established football clubs. Initially formed as Heaton Norris Rovers, the Club officially became Stockport County in 1890 after the County Borough of Stockport and have been based at Edgeley Park since 1902.

The team currently competes in Sky Bet League One, the third tier of the English Football League, after winning the 2023–24 Sky Bet League Two title.

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Cleaner to support the day-to-day running of our Academy facilities at Carrington. The role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for our players, staff, and visitors.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in high standards, works well independently, and understands the importance of consistency in a high-performance sporting environment.

Key Expectations

• A self-starter with strong attention to detail and high cleaning
standards
• Someone who takes pride in their work and understands the
importance of hygiene in a professional environment
• Reliability and good communication with the Academy Operations
Team
• Ability to manage workload independently in the early mornings
• Experience in cleaning roles (preferably in a sports, medical, or
education setting)
• Enhanced DBS check required due to the environment (the Club
can support this if not already held)
• Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to Academy schedules are
important
• Occasional additional hours may be available depending on
Academy activities
