Job Description: Role: To work in supporting growth within the game in Staffordshire through different distribution channels: -

Schools (Primary, Secondary and SEND Schools)
Diverse communities
Community outreach

Women & Girls
Objectives:

To deliver cricket in Primary, Secondary and SEND Schools
Working alongside regional and county colleagues supporting cricket in the Community. To substantially grow participation for all growth segments.
Actively promote and grow the game by working with ECB regional and other county-based organisations to empower under-represented and disadvantaged communities to take a more active role in Cricket whether playing, administrating or watching the game.
Supporting National Programmes and local key partners in clubs/ communities to ensure children from diverse groups in Staffordshire have access to and are engaged in the All Stars and Dynamos programmes.
Be innovative and creative exploring new opportunities for growth in non-traditional formats by developing tailored programmes to inspire people to take part informally.
Signpost transition opportunities from new and emerging programmes into mainstream clubs and leagues structures where appropriate.
Create cricket ‘hub’ opportunities in non-traditional settings. To enable regular contact with the game.
Through the use of social media and information technology identify and manipulate emerging trends through a variety of digital platforms, capturing social participation and liaise with ECB and Staffordshire Cricket to ensure full coverage
Complete appropriate monitoring & evaluation in line with funding requirements including online monitoring platforms and finance return tools.
Exploit media, national and global events, competitions, promotional campaigns/materials and use cricket ambassadors to be reflective of inclusion and diversity within Cricket.
Maximise access to, and use of, new and existing indoor facilities, and non-turf pitches
Maximise the impact of major cricketing events and create opportunities for multicultural communities to engage.
Expertise

This role requires:

Experience of working within Cricket or wider sports development with particular emphasis on growth markets :- Women & Girls, Disability, Multi –Cultural Communities
Relevant

ECB Foundation 1, Core Coach or Level 2 coaching qualification
DBS, Safeguarding Young Cricketers accreditation, First Aid Certificate
Clean driving licence
Ability to think creatively, be innovative and bold in developing new concepts and offers for casual cricket
Experience of community engagement
Knowledge of Growth Markets in particular urban and rural communities

The role has a direct impact on the success and growth of our business by making the case for equitable opportunities within our sport and growing the game for cricketers from the most disadvantaged and underrepresented groups at county level. This is a key role to drive the inclusion and diversity agenda and create a more equitable offer for our customers.

Staffordshire Cricket are firmly committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for children and adults to enjoy the game of cricket. This post requires an Enhanced ECB DBS check for regulated activity with children. The successful applicant will be required to obtain an ECB DBS check before commencing work.
