About the role

We are recruiting a Strategy & Secretariat Team Assistant to support the effective running of core governance arrangements at Sport England.

This role plays an important part in ensuring that our Executive Leadership Team, Board, Committees and Subsidiaries are supported by well-organised, professional and efficient governance processes. You will work closely with senior leaders and colleagues across the organisation to help ensure meetings are planned effectively, decisions are clearly recorded and actions are followed up.

What you’ll be doing

As Strategy & Secretariat Team Assistant, you will:

Coordinate forward schedules for governance meetings

Prepare agendas and commission, collate and circulate papers

Manage meeting logistics for both in-person and virtual meetings

Attend meetings to take accurate minutes and record actions

Maintain clear and up-to-date governance records

Build strong working relationships with senior leaders, Board and Committee members, PAs and colleagues across the organisation

Provide administrative and organisational support to the Strategy & Secretariat Team

Contribute to continuous improvement of governance processes and ways of working

What we’re looking for

This role is well suited to someone who enjoys structured work, supporting senior decision-making and contributing to strong governance in a public sector environment.

Why join us?
