Academy Coach Organisation South London Girls Football Academy Salary £30 per session Location SE5 Contract type Permanent (Part time) Closing date 31 July 2026 Job Description About South London Girls Football AcademySouth London Girls Football Academy is committed to providing ambitious young female players with a high-quality development environment that supports both their footballing and personal growth.We are passionate about creating positive learning experiences and delivering outstanding player development through high-quality coaching, strong relationships, and a player-centred approach.The RoleWe are seeking to appoint 1–2 Academy Coaches to join our coaching team for the 2026/27 season.The successful candidates will play an important role in delivering our academy programme, supporting player development, and helping to create an engaging and challenging learning environment for young female footballers.This role would suit coaches who are passionate about youth development, committed to continuous learning, and aligned with a long-term player development philosophy.Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality coaching sessions in line with the Academy curriculum and coaching framework.- Create positive, engaging and inclusive learning environments.- Support the technical, tactical, physical, psychological and social development of players.- Contribute to player development reviews and reporting.- Maintain high standards of professionalism and conduct.- Work collaboratively with Academy staff and fellow coaches.- Uphold safeguarding, welfare and health & safety standards at all times.Essential Criteria- UEFA B Licence- Enhanced DBS Certificate- FA Safeguarding Children Qualification- FA Emergency First Aid Qualification- Minimum five years' experience within youth football- Minimum 12 months' experience within girls' football- Experience within a professional club pathway environment, including one or more of the following:AcademyEmerging Talent Centre (ETC)Development CentreAdvanced Player Programme (APP)Person SpecificationWe are particularly interested in hearing from coaches who:- Demonstrate a genuine passion for player development.- Can build positive relationships with players, parents and colleagues.- Create engaging and challenging learning environments.- Are reflective practitioners with a growth mindset.- Are humble, reliable and committed to continuous improvement.- Understand the impact quality coaching can have on young people's lives.Whilst qualifications and experience are important, we are ultimately looking for good people first—coaches who genuinely care about helping young players fulfil their potential both on and off the pitch.
