Location Sevenoaks, Kent Contract type Fixed Term (Part time) Closing date 31 July 2025 Job Description We’re Sevenoaks Hockey Club – one of England’s most established, values-led hockey communities. We run one of the country’s biggest and best junior hockey programmes – with nearly 500 players, over 100 volunteers, and strong partnerships with local schools. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Graduate Coach or Hockey Professional to join our team for the 2025–26 season. This is a paid, entry-level coaching role – ideal for a school leaver, gap year student or recent graduate who already has some coaching experience and is ready to get stuck in. You’ll help us deliver coaching in schools during the day, evening junior sessions at the club, and our packed Sunday programme of training and matches. What the role includes:• Assisting with hockey coaching in local schools (daytime sessions) • Supporting evening junior coaching – from U8s to U16s • Helping run Sunday fixtures and training sessions • Working alongside and learning from experienced senior coaches • Optional paid extras like holiday camps, 1-to-1s, and wider club support • Being part of a values-led, welcoming club with big ambitions Who this would suit:This is a great opportunity to build coaching hours, gain experience, and learn in a supportive club environment. It would particularly suit someone who: • Has some previous coaching experience, ideally with young players • Brings enthusiasm, good energy and strong communication skills • Enjoys working with children and young people • Is comfortable working evenings and weekends • Is based locally or has existing accommodation in the area – housing costs in Sevenoaks are high and the role doesn’t include accommodation You’ll ideally hold a coaching qualification, and we’re open to supporting the right candidate.
